Oh GACK!!! This movie is so dreadfully boring that the idea of getting one second of material restored just makes me ill. Am I the only one that has no good things to say about this movie?

I think it's time to remake the title. It's always been on the edge of new technology:
1937: One of the first features shot entirely in 3-strip Technicolor 1954: One of the first non-Fox films shot in Cinemascope. 1976: One of the first films in Dolby stereo.
Clearly, there needs to be an all-digital version of this story. :-)

How about in 3D IMAX starring Britney Spears and Sean Penn. Sh#t! I just snorted coffee through my nose!

The Streisand/Kristofferson version, while attempting something different, wound up being an ego trip for Barbara Streisand while Kristofferson channeled Jack Daniels.
But will the final result be a restoration of Ron Haver's reconstruction of the premiere version, complete with animated stills? Or has more of the deleted footage magically turned up?
