Subject: Stuck Disc on Zip 250 external drive!
Hi:

I have a zip 250 external drive, and I have a disc jammed in it. No
amount of button pressing or "mouse command" will move it. If  press
the green button all I get is a buzzing as if its trying, but
something is jamming it. The mouse action only gets a message that
there is no disc in the drive.

Is there any way to extract a disc under the these conditions without
ruining the drive? I would appreciate anyones advice.

Thanks in Advance

John Baker

I haven't used a 250, but the 100 had an emergency eject hole in the
back of the drive.  You could stick a straightened paper clip in there
to force the drive to eject the disk.  I would expect the 250 would
have that as well.  Remove power from the drive before using it.
